Michael Yu is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. He focuses on comedy and genre work (action, crime) with a drama core, often touching on the tension between Asia and the West. His work has won awards at the 48 Hour Film Project and been screened at BAMPFA and the LA Film Awards. 

Currently, Michael is in post production for his latest short GONG GONG (a kung fu action comedy) and is writing a crime comedy feature.
