With SAME OLD, my co-director and I aimed to explore the aftermath of a breakup.
We wanted to set the story around an outsider in China as a vessel to explore his loneliness.
the process
The film was shot on location largely across the mountain ranges of China.
It was my first time co-directing a project and working in both English and Chinese language.
the result
The film won the Achievement in Filmmaking in the youth category at the Covellite International Film Festival 2017.
